JAMES WALLACE IS YOUR MEMBER FOR HORNSBY

James is passionate about our area – fighting for better public transport options, upgrades to local roads and world-class schools and healthcare.

Prior to entering public service he worked as a commercial lawyer at one of Australia’s leading law firms. He uses these skills to advocate for our community in Parliament and help locals to navigate the complex web of government.

Raising his son Ben with his wife Sarah, James understands the pressure facing young families. They know what it is like to have both parents working and having to juggle a career, child-care and family life. He supports policies to help ensure that families can make their pay last the full month whilst also saving something for the future.

James is one of the youngest members of Parliament. He is focused on long-term policy ideas that will help build a smart, creative, modern and fair society. This starts with access to a great education, accessible health care, reliable transport options and a growing economy that creates jobs. It also means embracing technology that will improve these government services.

The Hornsby electorate stretches from Brooklyn to West Pennant Hills and then all the way up to Wisemans Ferry. It is home to incredible bushland and vibrant community villages. It includes modern suburbs, many small businesses, the beautiful Hawkesbury River, fishing villages, farms and rural areas.

James grew up in the Hornsby Shire and his family has lived in the area since 1906. He continues to live in the Hornsby Shire with his young family. He has played football on local parks from Pennant Hills to Berowra Oval and now spends his weekends going on bushwalks with his son, watching the Parramatta Eels and meeting with community groups. Hornsby is a community he knows and loves.
