💳 I am fighting for an Opal Card reader to be installed at George Street, Hornsby.

🅿️ I will ask Hornsby Westfield to re-open for free the top floor of the Westfield car park for commuter parking (as was available before COVID).

🚶‍♂️I will work with the Hornsby Shire Council to support efforts to ensure that the footpaths around stations are made safe and accessible.
@Hornsby Kuring-Gai Women’s Shelter Mini Fete Fu @Hornsby Kuring-Gai Women’s Shelter Mini Fete Fundraiser on Saturday!

Despite the cool weather, the fete showed how warm and wonderful the people of Hornsby are. We are all thankful to Ann Leslie and all those that made this event possible.

The Women’s Shelter provides support for those in the community that need it most. Funds raised will go to finding new premises for women with dependents seeking new housing.
Congratulations to the incredible businesses honou Congratulations to the incredible businesses honoured in the Hornsby Local Business Awards.

Special congratulations to Best Law firm - Assured Conveyancing. They are based in Berowra and have just celebrated 25 years in business helping families buy and sell homes.

Over the past few weeks, hundreds of locals have g Over the past few weeks, hundreds of locals have given me an insight into their experiences using the T1 and T9 lines for their commute to work. Thank you.

I will be sharing the results with the Department of Transport as they undertake a review of the resilience of the network.

In short:
- almost everyone is impacted by delays
- it is common for trains to get cancelled at Hornsby, when they are meant to travel through to Berowra
- lack of express services is making commutes longer
- 79% of people struggle to get a park at the station
- more than 60% of people who park on the street find the footpath to the station not safe or accessible

There is a lot to do to get things right. While every problem wont be solved overnight, I have committed to a number of actions for our community including:
- advocating for an Opal Card reader to be installed at the George Street car park at Hornsby to make it easier for commuters to park
- fighting to reinstate the cancelled express services
- working with Council and state roads to improve and upgrade footpaths to the station
improving lighting on streets near local stations to make it safer to walk home at night
